The Bois Brever S.A. sawmill has been operating for over 60 years and in that time it has concentrated on the processing and treatment of the natural resource that is wood.

The family run business was founded in 1947 by Pierre Brever. Initially the company was a processing operation cutting and dressing its clients own wood, later on however, this practice ceased and the company moved into the supply of cut to size and processed timbre.

Nowadays, the total production capacity amounts to more than 40’000 m³ of fir/spruce wood per year. This is achieved using highly automated and modern machinery in our mill, whose size covers around 4.5 hectares.

The sawmill’s main market was initially the domestic markets of Luxembourg and Belgium, however, over the last 6 decades we have expanded into other European countries such as Germany, France and the Netherlands. We have achieved this through our constant modernisation, automation, quality of service and ability to specialise in certain fields.

Quality is the cornerstone of the company and has been for over 60 years. The quality process starts with the purchase of the log wood that comes from the forests of Belgium and Luxembourg, which are well known to us. Of the timbre purchased, 80% of the wood is Pefc certified, this guarantees the protection, the endurable and efficient exploitation and replanting of the woods.
The quality principles are followed through by the workforce of over 30 employees, who have pride in their job and the quality of the finished product that the sawmill produces. The combination of well sourced timbre, a high quality automated factory/plant and a motivated workforce allied to a vastly experienced management and a friendly family atmosphere make Bois Brever S.A. a high performance company that delivers on its promises of quality and service on time.
